Heartland Works, Inc. draws from a variety of resources in its efforts to work with both job seekers and employers. Much of Heartland Works' funding comes from the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, while the programs that have resulted from that funding are developed and implemented both by Heartland Works and its Workforce Centers, as well as by organizations that partner with Heartland Works staff. This section of our web site provides an explanation of many aspects of how Heartland Works functions, and how other organizations can participate with Heartland Works as it works to develop a well-educated, well-trained and self-sufficient workforce.
