Summer Youth Program 2010
 
  • Will provide paid work experience opportunities for youth ages 14 to 24 for the period 6/7/10 through 7/30/10
  • WIA eligibility and program guidelines apply
  • We are recruiting quality work sites with special consideration given to high-growth/high-demand industries and "green" jobs where available
  • We collaborate with non-profits, businesses, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations and educational institutions
  • Work site and youth applications are available now
 
 
Year-Round Youth Programs
 
The Workforce Investment Act provides programs for youth, both in school and out of school, from the ages of 16 to 21. The purpose of the WIA Youth Program is to prepare young people for post-secondary education and/or unsubsidized employment and to include strong linkages between academic and occupational training.
